SA 8000 Consultants in Punjab
SA8000 is an auditable certification standard that encourages organizations to develop in Punjab India, maintain, and apply socially acceptable practices in the workplace. The SA8000 Standard is the central document of our work at SAI. It is one of the worlds first auditable social certification standards for decent workplaces, across all industrial sectors in Punjab India. It is based on the UN Declaration of Human Rights, conventions of the ILO, UN and national law, and spans industry and corporate codes to create a common language to measure social performance. It takes a management systems in approach by setting out the structures and procedures that companies in Punjab India must adopt in order to ensure that compliance with the standard is continuously reviewed. Those seeking to comply with SA8000 have adopted policies and procedures that protect the basic human rights of workers in Punjab India. Below are the nine elements in the SA8000 Standard.

The revised document that is aligned with the changes made in the SA 8000: 2008 standard is now available below, organized by each of the SA 8000 Standards nine elements. Users of SA8000: 2008 are required to consult the 2008 Guidance Document as they implement the standard in Punjab India, and can also use the Drafters Notes and FAQs for further clarification on the changes made to the standard since.
